I've been using an earlier Yose Power kit with the sensor on the bottom bracket for a few years and never really liked the fixed five fixed speeds the kit provides so I was pleased when I saw the A3 Pro kit with a torque sensor on their website. I thought this would give a more progressive feel to my pedaling but I was a little anxious about the capacity of the tiny battery!! Anyway, I ordered one in January and fitted it to my Giant Escape 1 and after a couple of months I've done around 350 miles with it. Here's what I found.....

The kit is super easy to install (I didn't fit the front light) and adds just 3.5kg to the weight of the bike. It's reasonably quiet too. It isn't that noticeable on the bike either, folks don't realize my bike is electrified until I show them!
I'm reasonably fit and just use e-power when I'm starting to struggle up hills or cycling into a strong headwind. I found the assistance on power setting 1 a little too helpful, I could feel the assistance when I didn't really want it - when setting off for example!! I asked Joey if the sensitivity could be reduced but it can't be so I cycle along the flat and gentle slopes with the e-power off (power setting 0) and only switching to power setting 1 when I get tired up hills or into a headwind. I don't feel any drag when the power is off and appreciate the assistance when I need it!

I've done two longish rides and measured how much energy I put back into the battery after each ride. Here are the results...

I didn't want an e-bike that does all the work! I was looking for a little support when needed and the A3 Pro kit fits the bill perfectly for me!! I estimate the battery provides around 30% of the energy and my muscles do the other 70%. The torque sensor works fine (if a little too helpful as explained above) and a lot better than the fixed speeds of the PAS sensor version.

Great kit, easy to install and works perfectly. The battery delivers surprisingly good range.

I had an initial set back with the display only fitting 22.2mm handlebars and I thought I would have to send the kit back. However, I came up with a solution by fitting a handlebar extender. I love the bottle shaped battery and I still have room to carry a water bottle. I bought an almost matching black bottle holder and black bottle and no one notices that one of my black bottles is actually a battery. The kit seems well made and well finished and works just great. Although I would prefer less assistance on level 1 i.e. just enough assistance to help me along but without me realising it is on.

Fitted really well. Only hassle was water bottle battery mount as my frame curved at bottom fixing so had to mod a adapter plate putting battery closer to shock but works well.

Bought my E-bike kit 10 years ago never let me down but latly i had to charge my battery every shopping trip have a nasty hill to get there .so my new house battery fits like a clove and makes my bike super strong and long lasting again. many thanks thanks

I had to fit this as there isn't enough between the bottom mount and crank arm for the standard supplied one in the kit.
This was too tight as well BUT I thinned down the middle section slightly with Dremel and sandpaper.
It's not as neat as the supplied one and there is the sensor to fit to the frame, but all good so far.

Everything is very easy to assemble and so far it's been Great.

Our bike has an unusual frame design and no bottle mount so none of the available kits seemed to be suitable.
But after several messages talking with Joey he suggested trying their Frog Li-ion E-Bike Seat Tube Battery with one of their 26" rear motor kits. I found Joey very knowledgeable about their products and very prompt when replying to any of my questions. Once ordered the equipment arrived quickly and was very well packaged. The quality of the supplied parts appears to be very good. We have only used it twice so far but it all appears to work very well. It has enabled My partner to be able to enjoy her cycling again.

Been a customer for years and bought 10s of thousands of GBP in kits and batteries from Yose Power. I really cannot fault them and the relationship over the years has blossomed. Alice used to send me Chinese tea every year which is a nice touch. Very sorry to see Alice move to a different position after years of business together but happy for her at the same time. I have tested kits from other companies and I always came back to Yose Power for the 250w and 350w kits. I no longer look for another supplier for hub drive kits. The pics have a battery cover but they are Yose power batteries under that coupled to their kits

As others have said the kit can need a bit of “tweaking” to fit. My bike is pretty old and the frame really small, so I had to take a file to the PAS to get it to fit my old bottom bracket and then drill a new hole for the battery mount (Yose will sell you alternative PAS and battery mounts that would probably solve these issues when you work out what you need). On the plus side the kit has all the tools to fit it, everything seems well made, it has the full set of UKCA safety marks etc, and once fitted it works really well! So altogether another happy customer.

Fitted this to my Broardman TCX 650b mountain bike and very pleased with the kit, very impressed with the performance of the 250w motor everything fitted perfectly, I mounted the battery on the bottom part of the A frame using an adapter from Amazon with jubilee clips, as the bike has full suspension I couldn't mount the battery in the normal place, also needed a hollowtech 2 PAS sensor for the crank. done over 100 miles so far and no issues

My brakes/ gears are integrated so I opted for this sensor kit.
Easy to fit and works perfectly. It cuts the power to the motor when braking. Regardless of your thumb pressing on the throttle.

The magnet has to be pretty close to the sensor so I suggest you play around with them before sticking them to the brake levers to ensure they will work.
I have reservations about whether the adhesive pads on the magnet/ sensors will stand the test of time? However I'll try the sticky pads first and see how they perform. Other than that I would have used a resin to fit them.
I've added a picture to show the location. I wanted to put the sensor /magnet at the top of the brake levers but it wasn't completely flat!

Great price & slots straight into the bike.
Battery range matches my Carrera Phylion 11.6Ah. I get 35/40kms on a variety of rides & settings (I am 75kg and happy to pedal) so the claimed range shown on the product page on Yose is a tad optimistic.

The charger supplied has the same style plug and output voltage etc as the original one with the Carrera BUT do not think they are interchangeable. The original battery has a smart BMS, the Yose has a simple BMS. So the chargers should not be mixed up.

I am well happy with the battery. It’s less than half the price of a Halfords. Delivery was very quick & I recommend.
